The Dari language is the official language
in Afghanistan. Dari means the" language of court" which is the still
the court language in Afghanistan. In the beginning of Zahir Shah Reign, Dari
was the official language, but the language is just mainly used for business
and government transactions. About 50% of Afghan population speaks Dari and use
the Arabic Alphabet. One of the world greatest poems was written in Dari. An example of a Dari-speaking poetry writer Jalaluddin Rumi. His poems were translated to numerouus other languages and often read in the west
